Our Stay-Safe Protocols reno preschools covid guidelines

We’ve recognized the urgency for developing specific COVID-19 related protocols to keep our children and their families, along with our staff, safe during these times. To do so, we’ve implemented the following guidelines to both our Sparks and Reno precshools:

  • All members of our staff are required to wear a face mask at ALL times.
  • We’ve increased our outdoor times to provide fresh air to students and staff and also to help keep a safe distance from one another.
  • All staff members, students, family members, and other visitors must wear a face mask upon entering the facility.
  • Staff and students’ temperatures will be taken upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature that reads above 100? will be sent home.
  • In an effort to limit contact among our guests, we are requesting that parents drop-off their children in the front area of the building only. Parents, family members, and other visitors are not allowed past the front desk at this time.
  • Lastly, we are continuously and consistently sanitizing surfaces, toys, and other objects after each use throughout the day. We are also placing a great emphasis on handwashing practices and methods with children to get them in the habit of proper sanitization.

How We’re Meeting the Needs of Our Families

We strive to provide you and your children with the best high-quality care possible. For this reason, we have begun to provide you with multiple forms of communication that you can use to inform our teachers of the needs of your children. Also, this gives you a chance to ask the teachers any questions you may have in regards to our services. We’re utilizing a few new methods to make communication between families and staff much easier. The communication services we are offering include:

  • Kambu

Kambu is a system of communication that allows us to send you pictures of your children while they are engaging in activities throughout the day. We will also tag these pictures with the pre-k standard that is related to the activities that they are doing. We want to show you that although the children are playing all day – they are engaged in very important learning in preparation for kindergarten.

  • Daily Notes

We are also able to communicate to you through daily notes to let you know if your child is running low on supplies (i.e. diapers, wipes, clothes, etc.)

  • Family Suggestion Box

This is located in the main lobby where you are more than welcome to write down any suggestions you may have that can help improve our school. This box is checked daily.

  • Parent-Teacher Communication Notebook

The notebook is also located in the main lobby and can be used to leave comments, questions, or suggestions you may have for your child’s teacher. This notebook is also checked daily, a staff member will sign it to let you know that they have received your message.
