Through partnership with United Way
United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS) provides funding for qualified families to enroll their 4-year old children in high-quality preschool experiences with private early learning centers in Reno and other areas of Northern Nevada. UWNNS is pleased to partner with the Nevada Department of Education and United Way of Southern Nevada to implement the Nevada Ready! Pre-K program in our region. UWNNS will provide high-quality Pre-K for children who otherwise would not have access. UWNNS is focused on partnering with private early learning centers in our communities throughout Northwestern Nevada to make sure that your child is Nevada Ready!
An Easier Transition
As part of ensuring effective collaboration with the community and providing children and families with seamless services as they move to school entry, each Nevada Ready! Pre-K classrooms will create and implement a Kindergarten Transition Plan. The plan will outline strategies and activities to ease transitions from Reno and Sparks preschools to kindergarten.
