Educators at our Sparks Preschool/Daycare
- Executive Director: The Executive Director at Little Bear Preschool in Sparks, NV holds a BS Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as an AS Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Center Directors: Our Center Directors also hold Associate Degrees in Early Childhood Education.
- Teachers: The teachers at our preschool in Sparks have varying levels of education in early childhood development. All teachers are involved with ongoing training in addition to passing an FBI background check and demonstrating compassion for working with children and a passion for teaching.

Nevada Quality Rating & Improvement System
Little Bear Preschool is participating in the Nevada Silver State Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), which has been developed to assess the level of quality of childcare centers in Nevada and help families find high-quality childcare that fits their needs and the needs of their children. Benefits of attending a Sparks preschool with QRIS standards include quality indicators that expand on licensing requirements in the areas of program policies and procedures, administration and staff development, health and safety, and family and community partners. Hot Lunches Available
Preschool attendees who indicate they’d like hot lunches will now have the option to receive them at both the Little Bear & University Preschool locations. Our lunches are sourced from the same nutrition services provider that Washoe County School District utilizes. Menus are available for you to take advantage of your child’s favorite foods being served. For more information, we encourage you to reach out and discuss hot lunches with our staff.

Healthy Way to Grow
Our Sparks preschool programs also partners with Healthy Way to Grow. In an effort to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic, the American Heart Association and Nemours have teamed up to create Healthy Way to Grow, a program aimed at creating healthy childcare environments for children. This program is one of the many benefits of attending our Little Bear daycare and preschool in Sparks because it provides hands-on assistance, customized training, resources, and tools to support healthier lifestyles of our children. School lunches are often overlooked, but to us they are important tools to building a healthy and happy life. Our goal is to create an environment for young children to develop healthy habits for life throughout preschool in Sparks.
